South Anastasia Design Review
Purpose:
The purpose of the South Anastasia Design Review Board is to protect and preserve the "Old Florida" style, rural beach community in the South Anastasia Overlay District and achieve specific goals and objective of the St. Johns County Comprehensive Plan. The Design Review Board's (DRB) primary responsibility is to determine compliance with Part 3.07.00 South Anastasia Overlay of the St. Johns County Land Development Code, Ordinance 99-51, as amended.
General Qualifications:
Applicants serving as Alternate members will have voting privileges only in the absence of one or more regular members. Applicants must reside within the South Anastasia Overlay District. Members serve a term of four (4) years.
Meeting Schedule:
This Board meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in the County Permits Center.
Roster Info:
The Board was established in Section 3.07.14 of the Land Development Code, adopted by the County Commission July 29, 1999. Its composition and boundaries were amended by the County Commission September 3, 2013. The South Anastasia DRB shall consist of five (5) members and two (2) alternates. Appointees to the Design Review Board shall be qualified through the demonstration of special interest, experience, or education in design, architecture or history of the South Anastasia community. Members shall reside within the South Anastasia Overlay District. Appointments shall be for four-year terms. The South Anastasia DRB will develop submittal requirements and review procedures in accordance with Sections 3.07.04-3.07.14 of the Land Development Code to determine compliance of projects submitted for review. The Board meets at 3:00 p.m. every fourth Thursday in the Permit Center, 4040 Lewis Speedway.
