Recreation Advisory Board
Purpose:
The purpose of the Recreation Advisory Board is to protect and provide access to the county’s natural resources; to provide recreation opportunities for residents and visitors and to contribute to the county’s economic, social and environmental sustainability and resiliency. The Recreation Advisory Boards primary responsibility is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners.
General Qualifications:
All members must be St. Johns County residents. District representation is considered.
Meeting Schedule:
This Board meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:30 PM in the Muscovy Conference Room located in the County Health and Human Services Building at 200 San Sebastian View.
Roster Info:
The Recreation Advisory Board was established by the Board of County Commissioners on January 9, 1990, Section 7-2.0303. It is comprised of seven (7) members, each serving four-year terms, and seeks district representation. Members are limited to two consecutive four-year terms per the Rules and Policies of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners.
