Planning and Zoning Agency
Purpose:
The purpose of the Planning and Zoning Agency is to serve as the County’s Local Planning Agency. The primary responsibility of the Planning and Zoning Agency is to serve in an advisory capacity and recommending body to the Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to land use planning, zoning of land, Comprehensive Plan Amendments, amendment of Land Development Regulations, and Major Modifications to PUD’s.
General Qualifications:
All members must be St. Johns County residents.
Meeting Schedule:
This Board meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 1:30 P.M. in the auditorium at the County Administrative Center.

This Board meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 1:30 P.M. in the auditorium at the County Administrative Center. The Planning and Zoning Agency is comprised of seven (7) members, each serving a four (4) year term, with a limit of two (2) consecutive four-year terms. The purpose of the Planning and Zoning Agency is to serve as the County’s Local Planning Agency. The primary responsibility of the Planning and Zoning Agency is to serve in an advisory capacity and recommending body to the Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to land use planning, zoning of land, Comprehensive Plan Amendments, amendment of Land Development Regulations, and Major Modifications to PUD’s.It is required that each member files a Financial Disclosure with the Supervisor of Elections.
