License Update Requirements

If the license that qualifies your company changes for any reason—such as transitioning from a locally issued license to a state-certified license, or a change in the qualifying license holder—you must take the following steps:

1. Notify Contractor Licensing of which license is no longer in use or needs to be added to the licensing database.
2. Close out all permits issued under the previous license number, or transfer any open permits to the new license.
3. Update your company’s online permitting account information by completing the online account form.

These steps help ensure your records are accurate and that all permits are properly managed under the correct license.
