Plan reviewed for a new aboveground Fire Sprinkler System beginning at 1’-0” AFF at the 8” riser to 8” manifold for a single 4” Wet System and a single 4” Dry System. A Remote 4” FDC connecting both the 4” Wet and 4” Dry Risers with 4” Check Valves before both Wet and Dry System Risers.

·       Wet System: From 8” Manifold; 4” Riser to 4” Victaulic Universal Manifold Check Assembly (control valve w/tamper, flow switch, check valve, test n drain with pressure relief valve)

·       Dry System (Service Drive): From 8” Manifold; Viking Model VXR Dry System Riser Fully Trimmed with a Riser Mounted Compressor.

RESUBMITTING:
A. Make necessary changes and resubmit everything in person to the permit center. You may not make handwritten alterations on signed and sealed plan pages.
B. Once at the Permit Center swap out altered pages or insert new pages in EACH plan set (Job and Office). One copy of the removed/old pages from the JOB Copy will need to be submitted and marked "OLD". Do not forget to remove pages for work not associated to this permit. All plan papers must be the same size.
C. Provide a response to comments along with any supporting documentation. Response to comments is REQUIRED not optional.
- The response to comments sheet will need to include a response to each numbered comment and tell us where in the plans the comments was addressed. EX - "Top Left of Page E1-1" or "Page E1 Note 8".
- Code responses shall reference Florida Fire Prevention Code, 8th Ed.

 

1) 61G15-32.004(2) a-m Form on Sheet FP001, permit #12416218, Signed by Engineer Michael Wernz calls out in part the following:

·       General Storage (Parts and Parts Mezzanine): 0.60gpm/SF over 4,000srft (or entire compartment), K-Factor:11.2 or higher, 100 SF max per sprinkler, Pendent Quick Response.

o   Sprinkler Plans call out First Floor Parts area having density of .20/1,500 SF, K:5.6, Quick Reaction Upright

o   Sprinkler Plans call out Second Floor as having density of .20/1,500 SF, K:8.0, Quick Reaction Upright

·       Industrial Occupancy (Shop): Calls for Standard Response Head

o   Sprinkler Plan calls out Shop area to have Quick Response Heads

 

a)  Update the plans to match the 61G15-32.004, OR

b)  Have the Sprinkler Plans Signed and Sealed by a Fire Protection Engineer.

 

2) Provide a full height cross section or schematic diagram, including structural member information if required for clarity and including ceiling construction and method of protection for non-metallic piping. 13:27.1.3(4)

 

3) Provide Side View Elevations of the Fire Sprinkler Risers.
