Plan APPROVED for underground fire main. 10" BFP, 10" fire main, 7 new private fire hydrants, 10" fire sprinkler line to finished 1' AFF, 1 stand alone FDC with 5" Storz connection going into building separate from the fire sprinkler riser to finish 1' AFF and to be connected by above ground contractor.  

Reviewed using FFPC 8th edition effective Dec. 31, 2023. NFPA 1 and 101 references are Florida Editions of the code in the FFPC.

1. On the shop drawing, please show the exact location of all fire hydrants.

-Painted red to indicate private (LDC 6.03.03.C.10)

-Fire hydrants shall be located within 3 feet to 10 feet of the curb. (LDC 6.03.03)

2. Show check valve on the FDC on the shop drawing. Fire Dept Connection shall:
- Have check valve to keep FDC dry. (NFPA 13)

3. Freeze protection is indicated on the shop drawing submitted. Please submit the type of freeze protection to be used with your submittal sheets.

- All aboveground pipe (including backflow) shall be protected against freezing. (NFPA 24:12.2.3)

4. The backflow preventer is required to be electronically monitored. Page C-301, Water Main Plan of the approved civil plans for this project propose a 1" conduit for tamper switch on BFP. Please show the conduit for the BFP tamper switch in the shop drawing.
