RESUBMITTING:
A. Make necessary changes and resubmit everything in person to the permit center.
B. Once at the Permit Center swap out altered pages or insert new pages in EACH plan set (Job and Office). One copy of the removed/old pages from the JOB Copy will need to be submitted and marked "OLD". Do not forget to remove pages for work not associated to this permit. All plan papers must be the same size.
C. Provide a response to comments along with any supporting documentation. Response to comments is REQUIRED not optional.
- The response to comments sheet will need to include a response to each numbered comment and tell us where in the plans the comments was addressed. EX - "Top Left of Page E1-1" or "Page E1 Note 8".
- Code responses shall reference Florida Fire Prevention Code, 7th Ed.

2) The two sets of plans are loose leaf and not bound (staples, pinned, etc.). The plan sets are to be bound upon resubmittal.

4) There are numerous Civil Sheets included in the plan set. Civil Sheets are used during the Development Review Committee process. They are not to be a part of the building plan review process.

Remove ALL Civil Plan Sheets from the building plan sets.

6) Sheet A4.07 indicates that a generator or generator’s will be installed adjacent to the Electrical room. The Emergency Lighting (EL) Sheets and electrical Panel “EM” indicates the generator will be used for powering specific normal egress lighting fixtures as Emergency Lighting.

New Emergency Power Systems for Emergency Lighting shall be at least Type 10, Class 1.5, Level 1 in accordance with NFPA 110. 101:7.9.2.2

Provide documentation for the generator system demonstrating it complies with 101:7.9.2.2

Thursday, February 1, 2024 DF: Reviewer's Response: Generator Documentation (Part of Clearance Sheet C23-7946*1 Review) indicates the generator is capable of being NFPA 110 Level 1 compliant when equipped with necessary accessories and installed in accordance per NFPA Standards. The Generator documentation lists the requirements on Sheet #2 of the Generator Set Accessories document.

The generator will be reviewed for compliance under Clearance Sheet C23-7946*1. 

8) With exception of the Garden Center, the Exit Signs throughout are indicated on Sheet E6.01 as being “Photoluminescent”. Photoluminescent exit signage is permitted, provided the face of the exit sign be continually illuminated in accordance with the signs listing. The charging illumination shall be a reliable light source such as a non-switched night light, and meeting the listing requirements for the type of illumination. 101:36.2.10

There are some of the night lights located at, near, or in the area of the photoluminescent exit signs. However, there are photoluminescent exit signs not covered by the night lights. I am unable to determine it the night lights comply with the manufactures listing. 101:7.10.7.2

a) Provide the manufacturer’s specification sheet(s) for the photoluminescent exit signs, AND

b) Evaluate the locations of the night lights for compliance with the mfr.’s spec sheets for compliance with the illumination requirements for the signs, AND

c) adjust the lighting sheets to demonstrate compliance with 101:7.10.7.2

a) I did not see the Manufacturer's Specification Sheets for the Photoluminescent Exit Signs. Provide the spec sheets for the exit signs so I can verify the lumens and ft-candles freguired.

b) The Photometrics provide are on 8.5" x 11" sheets. They are difficult at best to see the photometrics. Provide the Summary and Area Layout Photometrics Sheets on larger Sheets so the documentation is legible.

Spec Sheet provided identifies the Trash Compactor as a PTR Baler & Compactor Model TP-4000HD and provides dimensional information and provides dimensional measurements only. The Spec Sheet does not provide information regarding the door requirements of NFPA 82.3.2, 82:6.2.3.3.

Provide the information regarding the Chute's Door needed to satisfy 82:3.2.

NOTE: Clearance Sheet C23-7946*2 has been submitted for review of the Trash Compactor. The Compactor Chute Door and the Intake room will remain under this Clearance Sheet (C23-7946). The installation of the compactor will fall under Clearance Sheet C23-7946.2.

14) The Door and Hardware Schedule on Sheet A6.01 identifies doors that have Delayed-Egress that the Project Manual Hardware Page does not identify by door number. For example; Project Manual identifies Door #130A only for hardware set #14 and Sheet A6.01 identifies Doors 130A, 130B and 131B as having Hardware Set #14. This has been noted throughout the Project Manual and Door and Hardware Schedule on Sheet A6.01.

Update the Project manual; and/or Sheet A6.01 so the correct doors are identified.

Air handlers with more than 2000 CFM are required to have duct smoke detectors. NOTE: If there is a FIRE ALARM SYSTEM in the building the duct smoke detector must also be connected to the fire alarm system. (NFPA 90A:6.4.4.2)
Where smoke detectors required by 6.4 are installed in a building not equipped with an approved fire alarm system as specified by 6.4.4.2, the following shall occur:

Unless prohibited by Chapters 11 through 43, automatic lighting control devices shall be permitted to temporarily turn off the illumination within the means of egress, provided that each lighting control device complies with all of the following:

(2) The lighting control device is equipped to automatically energize the controlled lights upon loss of normal power and is evaluated for this purpose.
(3) Illumination timers are provided and are set for a minimum 15-minute duration.
(4) The lighting control device is activated by any occupant movement in the area served by the lighting units.
