These plans are for a 15410 square foot unsprinklered multiple/mixed occupancy Business, Storage, Special Purpose Industrial, Repair Garage. The plans were reviewed using the 2004 Florida Fire Prevention Code using the above chapters and NFPA 30A. The plans are REJECTED for the following reasons.

Please designate on the drawings the specific areas inside the warehouse and under the exterior canopy where the equipment maintenance will be performed. Maintenance will be limited to those specified areas and in addition the areas must meet the following:
- The floors shall be liquid tight and shall be sloped to facilitate the movement of liquids to floor drains. NFPA 30A 7.4.4.1.
- Any floor drains shall be properly trapped and shall discharge through an oil/water separator to the sewer or an outside vented sump. NFPA 30A 7.4.4.2.
Please provide documentation for the method of intending the liquid tight requirements of 30A 7.4.4.1.

Please note the following changes to Electrical Plan 7-
1. Remove the exit signage from inside the warehouse near 09 general storage room and inside the office near 14 outside sales office. Egress is not permitted through storage areas. NFPA 101,7.5.2.1.
2. An additional exit sign is needed near the mezzanine as indicated on the drawing. Exit access requires signage where the way to reach the exit is not readily apparent. NFPA 101 7.10.1.5.1.
Note: The bottom of new exit signs cannot be mounted more than 80 inches above the top of the door. The new sign may require chains or the like to meet this requirement. NFPA 7.10.1.9.
3. When exiting from the warehouse through the office to clear the building there cannot be any locks hindering egress. NFPA 101 7.2.1.5.
4. There is only one emergency light in the warehouse and none that I can see in the offices or the mezzanine. Additional emergency lights will be required for these spaces. Please indicate them on the plans. NFPA 101 7.9.2.1 and 40.2.9.2.

Provide a plan indicating the proposed storage layout in the warehouse including the required exit access aisles. NFPA 101 7.3.4.1.
