FLORIDA BUILDING CODE UPDATE

 

 The Florida Building Code 8th Edition (2023) and the

2020 National Electric Code becomes effective midnight: DECEMBER 31, 2023.

 

 The updated edition of the codes referenced above would be applicable

to permit applications submitted on or after the effective date.

 Permit application packages accepted by the Building Services Division

prior to the effective date will be reviewed under the 7th Edition (2020) Florida Building Code.

enforce the early power agreement and power release requirements on Meter Can ( 213 )
inspections on residential projects.
 
 

              Attention the Landscape Inspection request will change on April 1st 2020 :

 

    The landscape inspection will no longer be associated with the 123 Final Building Inspection.

           When the landscaping is ready for a Final inspection please schedule on the 

           automated phone line 904-827-6842 or the St Johns County web site with the three digit Inspection code 126
