Construction Documents (FBC-107.2.1): Please provide a sketch or floor plan showing where the new construction is located within the structure. Information on construction documents shall be dimensioned and drawn upon suitable material and shall be of sufficient clarity to indicate the location, nature and extent of the work proposed and show in detail that it will conform to the provisions of this code and relevant laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, as determined by the building official. Plans should show accurate location of facilities such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, smoke detectors, egress requirements and dimensioned drawings to verify compliance to the Florida Building Code 6th edition.

Please Provide Plans From a Registered Design Professional Complying With Section FBC-R302/302.3: Two-Family dwellings shall be separated from each other by wall and floor assemblies having not less than a 1-hour fire resistance rating where tested in accordance with ASTM E119 OR UL 263. Fire-resistance-rated floor/ceiling and wall assemblies shall extend to and be tight against the exterior wall, and wall assemblies shall extend from the foundation to the underside of the roof sheathing.
- Firewall Detail submitted doesn't appear to fit the situation. The original house roof appears to bear on the separating block wall and the detail shows roof framing parallel.(5/22/19)

EGRESS REQUIREMENTS: Please provide Unit #2 bedroom with window opening or door that meets egress requirements of FBC-R 310. Since this is a new unit it must meet new requirements.
