Printed plans submitted for review on or after December 5, 2005, must include the following information required by the 2004 Florida Building Code - Residential: specify metal ducts in garage (R309.1.1), or see the Nov. 1 notice for alternatives to metal ducts approved for use in this county; specify thickness and material of door from garage to living space, or specify 20 minute fire-rated door (see R309.1); specify separation of garage from habitable space (R309.2); specify min. clearances around mechanical equipment (M1601.3.3); specify anchoring of outside mechanical units (M1307.3.1); detail the flashing requirements for windows per bulletin published by BOAF, First Coast Chapter, Codes and Standards Committee. For stucco on wood frame exterior walls specify and detail the stucco application including "bond-break" as required by R703.2.1. A copy of the notice dated November 1, 2005, is attached for your edification.
