Please provide Florida Product Approval Number for the siding.

 		 

 

 

The 2004 Florida Building Code –Residential (section R301.2.1.1) requires that you use a design criteria

 

The drawing must include the following information applicable to the design:

 

                                        *Design reference

     Complies with the 2004 Florida Building Code –Residential

                                         wind exposure (B or C)

                                         Importance factor

                                         Basic wind speed 120 mph

                                         Building category (enclosed or partially enclosed)

 

* ( examples: IBHS Guidelines for Hurricane Resistant Residential Construction, WFCM Guide to Wood Construction in High Wind Areas.)

 

 

 		 

Please provide a wall cross sectional view showing the foundation up to and including the roof. Include vapor barrier, sheathing, and siding. Specify nail size/pattern for the sheathing. Also specify the anchors to secure wall to existing building.

Please also specify a 6” termite inspection space between the outside wall sheathing and the grade as required by FBC-R section 704.



 		 

Does this addition affect emergency egress from a bedroom as per FBC R310?
