Plans for a 1718 head NFPA 13R fire sprinkler system for a 4 story apartment building. The building also has a Class 1 Manual Wet standpipe system, which is a combination system with hose connections on all levels in the stairwells, one connection on the roof, and a connection on each side of the horizontal exit. The building sprinkler system is supplied from the standpipe in stairs 2 and 4 on level 1. The FDC is a yard FDC that is tied into the riser above the vertical BFP. Per the building design team, the utility rooms that are indicated not to have sprinklers are for electrical/mechanical equipment, not for storage. This is permitted by 13R 6.6.6.
