Plan reviewed for new 1,420 feet of 8” underground Fire Protection line supporting 4 hydrants on 6” lines. Clubhouse, Buildings 1, 2, 3 and 4 via 4” sprinkler supply lines to 1 foot AFF. 8” Backflow Preventer is a DCDA and each building has a 4” DCDA. The FDC is located on the building.
Reviewed using FFPC 7th edition effective Dec. 31, 2020. NFPA 1 and 101 references are Florida Editions of the code in the FFPC.

RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications must be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project.
Effective 1/01/2022 you must include a written response to comments summary to clarify and illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.
Resubmittals will not be approved without a response to comments.

1) The 4” Underground sprinkler line to each building does not connect to the building. 02/16/2022 1215 hrs. I spoke with contractor Colin O’Donnel via phone who confirmed that the 4” lines will continue to the building ending 1’ AFF.
Complete the lines to the building notating they end 1 foot Above Finished Floor (AFF) or provide note on plans stating same.

2) There are 5 buildings that will have the underground finishing 1 foot AFF. This requires 1 Fire Marshal Permit for each building.
Provide additional Fire Marshal permits for Buildings 1 (12116712), Building 2 (12116713), Building 3 (12116714 and Building 4 (12116715).

7) ALL aboveground control valves are to be electronically supervised. This includes the 8” Back Flow Preventer (BFP) control valves, 4” BFP control valves, etc. 101:7.2.2.6.3.1(6)(a)
Provide the manufacturers cut sheets for the electronic supervision device(s) being installed to electronically monitor tamper of the control valves.
