This building is required to be protected with fire sprinklers. NFPA 101:30.3.5.1.   Indicate this on the building code summary and provide the fire sprinkler engineers criteria (FP page(s)), indicated below. 

 

An ENGINEERED sealed Design Criteria for a fire sprinkler system exceeding 49 heads is required to be submitted with the general construction documents. We are unable to approve the plan until this information is provided.  It is not a full set of shop drawing  FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 61G15-32.004

The FP page is indicated in the table of contents on the front sheet, but the sheet does not clearly indicate that the building is being provided with fire sprinklers.  In addition this building (cottage 2) is not indicated on the provided FP sheet as being provided with fire sprinklers.  Add a note on the cover sheet indicating that the building will be protected with fire sprinklers.  PJW Wednesday, October 20, 2021

3) Provide grab bar details for bathtubs and showers in accordance with 30.2.1.3 and 24.2.8 of NFPA 101.

Grab bar code notes added to sheet W-1.  However the details provided do not match the requirements of the provided code sections.  Example, horizontal grab bars indicated not vertical, back wall mounted bar is too high etc.  Also remove any reference to future grab bars, they are required now.  PJW Wednesday, October 20, 2021

4) INFORMATIONAL ONLY NO RESPONSE NECESSARY:
The system(s) outlined in this set of plans is conceptual.

A HOLD has been placed at insulation inspection (109) until either: a) a permit has been pulled or b) a letter submitted from respective system contractor indicating no work to be done to the existing system:
- Fire alarm system (sprinkler monitoring)
- Fire sprinkler system
- Fire underground

5) A fire alarm is required to monitor the fire sprinkler system.  A hold has been placed on the permit for this information.
