Plan reviewed for 984 head wet sprinkler system with an Electric driven Fire Pump model 6AEF16B 1,500 GPM Peerless Pump. Three risers for three zones. Fire pump feeding three (3) shotgun risers; System 01, System 02 and System 03. Fire pump controller model: Firetrol Mark III Electric Fire Pump Controller. Jockey Pump Controller model: Firetrol FTA560F. Shotgun Riser: Lansdale model LVRCGG.
Reviewed using FFPC 7th edition effective Dec. 31, 2020. NFPA 1 and 101 references are Florida Editions of the code in the FFPC.

RESUBMITTING: A. Make necessary changes and resubmit everything in person to the Permit Center. B. Once at the Permit Center swap out altered pages or insert new pages in EACH plan set (job and office). One copy of the removed/old pages will need to be resubmitted and labeled "OLD". Do not forget to remove pages for work not associated in this permit. All plan pages must be the same size. C. Provide a response to comments along with any supporting documentation. Response to comments is REQUIRED not optional. - The response to comments sheet will need to include a response to each numbered comment and tell us where in the plans the comment was addressed. Ex - "top left of page A11" or "Page E1 note 8". - Code responses shall reference Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. (not Building Code)

1) The FDC is shown on the building wall and having a 2 1/2" Siamese "Y". The approved Civil plans approved in DRC has the FDC in the yard approximately 15 feet from the building protected by 4 bollards. St Johns County Fire Marshals Office requires the FDC to be a single 5" STORZ fitting mounted on a 30 degree down angle elbow.
Show the FDC as a yard FDC with a 5" STORZ as described above.

2) The emergency lighting in the fire pump room is shown as a combination exit/emergency light (EL). The manufacturer's spec sheet for this EL shows that it only provides 1 foot candle at the floor up to 3 feet from the wall and is rated to provide this illumination for 1.5 hours.
The minimum required foot candle at the floor is 3 foot candle per NFPA 20:4.13.5.2. Provide Emergency lighting photometrics demonstrating compliance with NFPA 20:4.13.5.2
The length of time the EL is to provide this illumination is for 2 hours. NFPA 20:4.13.5.4 Provide manufacturer's spec sheets demonstrating the EL will provide the emergency illumination for a minimum of 2 hours.

3) I am not able to locate the spare sprinkler head box(s) in the plans. I also do not see the list of spare heads to be placed in the box. 13.6.2.9
a) Please point out of show on the plans the spare head boxes containing a minimum of 12 spare heads in accordance with NFPA 13:6.2.9, 6.2.9.5
b) Show the spare head list that will be paced in the spare head boxes. NFPA 13:6.2.9.7.1.

4) Notes and Legends indicate that a water gong will be installed for the alarm requirement. I was not able to locate the spec sheet for the water gong.
Provide the manufacturer’s specs for the water gong.
