Plan APPROVED for adding 6" gate valve, extend 6" DR-14 to 6" DCDA BFP and then extend 6" DR-14 to freestanding 2 2 1/2" FDC with check valve then extend 6" DR-14 to finish 1' above finish floor.

**Per Fire Inspector Supervisor, a two 2 1/2" FDC allowed for this existing complex**

The following will be checked during fire inspections.

**General Requirements:
- Top of the pipe shall be buried not less than 2 1/2 ft to prevent mechanical damage (NFPA 24:10.4.2.2.2)
- Pipe under driveways shall be buried at a minimum depth of 3 ft (NFPA 24:10.4.2.2.3)
- 36" clearance in front and side of FDC
- Have check valve (NFPA 13)
- Have caps in place. (NFPA 24 5.9.1)

- Backflow preventer shall be electronically monitored. (NFPA 24:6.7.2)

PLEASE COORDINATE WITH FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR TO ALLOW BFP TO BE MONITORED BY FIRE ALARM)
