Plan reviewed for fire sprinkler system in a 6570SF shell building to be mercantile occupancy with 57 sprinkler-heads and sprinkler riser. Reviewed using FFPC 7th edition effective Dec. 31, 2020.

RESUBMITTING:
A. Make necessary changes and resubmit everything in person to the Permit Center.
B. Once at the Permit Center swap out altered pages or insert new pages in EACH plan set (job and office). One copy of the removed/old pages will need to be resubmitted and labeled "OLD". Do not forget to remove pages for work not associated in this permit.
C. Provide a response to comments along with any supporting documentation.  Response to comments is REQUIRED not optional.
- The response to comments sheet will need to include a response to each numbered comment and tell us where in the plans the comment was addressed. Ex - "top left of page A11" or "Page E1 note 8".
- Code responses shall reference Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. (not Building Code)

1- I do not see a pressure gauge above and below the riser check valve in the riser detail within the submitted sprinkler plans.

Pressure gauges shall be installed above and below each alarm check valve or system riser check valve where such devices are present. NFPA13:7.1.1.2

Please submit a fire sprinkler riser detail showing and listing all of the required components being installed on this project.

2- I see a spec sheet within the submitted spec sheet packet for an Siamese connection FDC coming from the sprinkler riser within the scope of work. The FDC will need to meet the following criteria:

FDC connections on piping shall be equipped with a five (5) inch Storz connection and shall have a 30 degree downward deflection. Proper spec sheets will need to be provided.

This applies to all FDC’s regardless being on a building or free standing.

NFPA 24:5.9.1.2, and 5.9.2.4
