RESUBMITTING:
A. Make necessary changes and resubmit everything in person to the permit center. You may not make handwritten alterations on signed and sealed plan pages.
B. Once at the Permit Center swap out altered pages or insert new pages in EACH plan set (Job and Office). One copy of the removed/old pages from the JOB Copy will need to be submitted and marked "OLD". Do not forget to remove pages for work not associated to this permit. All plan papers must be the same size.
C. Provide a response to comments along with any supporting documentation. Response to comments is REQUIRED not optional.
- The response to comments sheet will need to include a response to each numbered comment and tell us where in the plans the comments was addressed. EX - "Top Left of Page E1-1" or "Page E1 Note 8".
- Code responses shall reference Florida Fire Prevention Code, 8th Ed.

1) The plan is scaled, but it is not printed to the proper scale. Reprint the plans at the appropriate size per the scale indicated.

3) Are you utilizing private operating mode in accordance with NFPA 72 as per NFPA 101:18.3.4.3.1(2). If not, visual/audible notification will need to be provided per NFPA 101:9.6.3.1. If yes, indicate this on the plans.

4) If you are utilizing private operating mode per comment 3 above, how will you ensure that the personnel being notified will be able to readily identify the zone, area, floor or building to be evacuated. Examples include via annunciators, or specific automated voice instruction etc. are required by NFP A101:18.3.4.3.1(2).

5) Vestibule 1300.00 pull station is inside the interior doors. Relocate it to the exterior doors. NFPA 72:71.15.9.4.

8) The area near stair S2 and the elevator lobby on FA-101 is very device dense. Provide an enlarged/callout view of that area for clarity.

9) Label on either the floor plan or the riser diagram what each module monitors and what each relay controls. Some are labeled but not all. Example (AI06) MD1.4.3 etc.

10) What is screening 1160 and Anesthesia Documentation 2300? It appears that they may also require visual notification appliances per NFPA 101:9.6.3.

11) Is armory 1175B occupied, or is it a storage room? If occupied, provide visual notification. NFPA 101:9.6.3.

12) Label or callout the pre-action system tie ins.
|
| |
|
|
13) The plans reference smoke control system devices and information. The smoke control system for this building has not yet been submitted for or approved. So our office has no idea how the system will be engineered/designed and what fire alarm tie ins will be required. Either:
A) Remove all smoke control references/devices and sheet FA-213 from the plans. Once the smoke control system is submitted and approved, a revision will be required to add the smoke control devices to the plans.
B) Wait to resubmit your plans once the smoke control system has been submitted and approved by this office.

14) There are multiple corridors and patient room toilets throughout the building (multiple floors) that do not have notification appliances. Even if you are claiming private operating mode (per comment 3) these spaces are not exempt by NFPA 101:18.3.4.3.1(2). Corridors and restrooms are not patient care spaces as defined in NFPA 99:3.3.140, A3.3.140. Provide notification appliances in these areas using the corridor rules or room spacing rules accordingly. NFPA 72:18.5.5.6.1.
