Plan submitted for 1056sf in a construction type VB non sprinkler building of unknown occupancy type to be used for oil changes.  G-0.3 shows that new and used class IIIB liquid will be stored in 2950 gallons between 16 tanks. Reviewed as new special purpose industrial using FFPC 7th edition effective January 1, 2021.

RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.

To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.

4) Provide spec sheets for each of the 3 containers shown on G-0.3. I am looking to see that a) the type container is allowed by FFPC and b) the container size meets the container type in FFPC 1:66.9.4.3.

At time of fire final:

- atleast 1 portable extinguisher having a capability of not less than 40:B shall be located outside of but not more than 10' from door opening into a liquid storage area. 1:66.9.10.2.2

- completed on site emergency plan procedures is to be on site that meets 1:66.21.6.5.

- NFPA 704 placarding applied to storage tanks containing IIIB liquids. 1:66.21.7.2

5) Where are the 16 tanks going?

Tuesday, November 2, 2021 According to page G-0.3, 3 - 330gal used oil tanks are going in storage room, 9-120 gal new oil tanks and 4 - 220gal new tanks are going in bay areas.
