Plans for a 1274 head fire sprinkler system for Costco. In order to begin the review, our office needs the following information.
- Overall system plan with each different system color coded for clarity, showing each system from the pump room to the furthest head.
- Overall plans for each system.
- Closer up detail sheets for each system (similar to what was provided with the review).
- The plans submitted show the system information with a blank background. Include underlying floor plan information/layers for walls, room names, identifying features, shelving etc. so I can orient the system with the building and verify coverage.
- Shelving construction. NFPA 13 sections as referenced in the design criteria have specific requirements/options for the shelving. Provide a general note indicating that the shelving will be installed in accordance and quote the specific sections of NFPA 13 or provide shelving details/specs demonstrating compliance.
Reached out to contractor and the Costco consultant for this information.

Wednesday, May 25, 2022 PJW- Sprinkler system is a NFPA 13, 1274 head wet fire sprinkler system that is actually a total of 4 separate sprinkler systems, that are fed off of a single manifold in the fire pump room. System 3 also has a dry valve off of it that is supplying the dry system for the exterior entry canopy. The system is fed by a 1500 GPM @ 85psi Fairbanks Morse horizontal split case pump model 1823F, with a Clarke JU4H-UFADP0 diesel engine pump driver. The system was designed with many calculated remote areas, the designs are as follows:
