Plans for the installation of a Building Radio Enhancement/BDA system in an existing 2 story non sprinklered Hotel. The plans were reviewed using NFPA 1221.

RESUBMITTING: A. Make necessary changes and resubmit everything in person to the Permit Center. B. Once at the Permit Center swap out altered pages or insert new pages in EACH plan set (job and office). One copy of the removed/old pages will need to be resubmitted and labeled "OLD". Do not forget to remove pages for work not associated in this permit. C. Provide a response to comments along with any supporting documentation. Response to comments is REQUIRED not optional. - The response to comments sheet will need to include a response to each numbered comment and tell us where in the plans the comment was addressed. Ex - "top left of page A11" or "Page E1 note 8". - Code responses shall reference Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. (not Building Code)

1) The plans were submitted with an electronic seal from William Heyn PE, however a note was placed on the sheets indicating that printed documents are not considered signed and sealed. Our office requires signed and sealed plans, so the plans will need to have a raised seal, or a seal permitted by the FAC, that is not electronic.

2) Identify the BDA fire alarm panel location on the plans. Will each building have a fire alarm panel or will a single panel monitor both building BDA's. Whichever way, ensure that it is clear on the plans. In addition if each building will have a separate system, do you anticipate any interference issues between the two? How can this be mitigated?

4) This building requires pathway survivability level 2 since it is not protected with fire sprinklers. Identify this on the plans and demonstrate compliance. 5.5.1.1, 5.10, 9.6.2.

6) Feeder and riser coax cables shall be rated as plenum that will match the building rating and path survivability which is level 2. Identify what cable will be used for feeder cables in accordance with this survivability level. Provide associated specs. 9.6.2.1.1.1.

7) Riser coax must be rated as riser cable and routed through a 2 hour rated enclosure. 9.6.2.1.3. Demonstrate on the plan and provided specs on how the rating will be achieved.
