Plans for a 155 head NFPA 13 fire sprinkle system for a clubhouse building. The system will have a 4 inch riser with the FDC being mounted remotely, tied into the underground. The system is designed as all wet, at .10 density for the building and the attic with 3 remote areas.

RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.
To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.

1) The sprinkler criteria sealed by James M. Curtis PE, specifies .15 gpm over remote 1500sf. The plans indicate .10 at around 1000sf.
Florida Administrative Code (FAC) 61G15-32.002 defines a material deviation as "Any deviation from the design parameters established and documented by the Engineer of Record." Furthermore FAC 61G15-32.003(6) states "When layout documents contain material deviation from the Engineer of Record's Fire Protection System Engineering Document, such layout documents are not compliant unless they are accompanied by revised Engineering Documents made and sealed by the Engineer of record for the Fire Protection System."

2) Plans do not indicate relieve valve or auxiliary air reservoirs per NFPA 13:7.1.2. Provide specifications.

3) How will the attic be maintained above 40 degrees? NFPA 13 8.16.14

4) NFPA 13 9.2.1.3.3.2 Provide spec sheet for suspended ceiling tile grid showing it meets ASTM C 635.
NFPA 13 9.2.1.3.3.4 * Where flexible sprinkler hose fittings are used to connect sprinklers to branch lines in suspended ceilings, a label limiting relocation of the sprinkler shall be provided on the anchoring component. An example of language for the label is as follows: CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE THIS LABEL.Relocation of this device should only be performed by qualified and/or licensed individuals that are aware of the original system design criteria, hydraulic criteria, sprinkler head listing parameters, and knowledge of the state and local codes including NFPA 13 installation standards. Relocation of the device without this knowledge could adversely affect the performance of this fire protection and life safety system.
