1) I spoke to the contractor about the submittal and indicated that I need the specification sheets for all of the components, and I also need a narrative of how each door will be set up and function.  He indicated that this would be coming from the architect.  There was also a 8.5x11 sheet submitted of the floor plan with color indications and a legend indicating how the doors will be set up.  I asked that he submit this full size so it is legible and can be archived.  The majority of the review will most likely be off of this sheet.  Not sure what all the other sheets represent that were submitted.

------------------

Tuesday, October 24, 2023 PJW- The color sheets A1.10, and A1.20 were submitted full size and indicate by color the how the doors will be set up to function.  A single copy of A9.02 (door schedule) was submitted so it was marked as office copy. Doors C4, ST3B, 177, 150A, C3, and S1 are going to be secured based on the allowance set forth in NFPA 101:32.3.2.2.2(6), by utilizing prox. cards.  Per the architect, all staff members will be able to open these doors with their cards.  Email provided from the architect invoking this code allowance.
