Plan reviewed for new fire sprinkler system. 6" riser to a 6" manifold supporting a One 3" wet system to the Memory Care area, One 2.5" wet system to the Assisted Living area, One 4" Dry system with accelerator to the Memory Care Attic Area (System 1) and One 4" Dry system with accelerator to the Assisted Living Attic Area (System 2).
A hold for fire pump is indicated, no fire pump shown on plans.
Reviewed using FFPC 7th edition effective Dec. 31, 2020. NFPA 1 and 101 references are Florida Editions of the code in the FFPC.

RESUBMITTING: A. Make necessary changes and resubmit everything in person to the Permit Center. B. Once at the Permit Center swap out altered pages or insert new pages in EACH plan set (job and office). One copy of the removed/old pages will need to be resubmitted and labeled "OLD". Do not forget to remove pages for work not associated in this permit. C. Provide a response to comments along with any supporting documentation. Response to comments is REQUIRED not optional. - The response to comments sheet will need to include a response to each numbered comment and tell us where in the plans the comment was addressed. Ex - "top left of page A11" or "Page E1 note 8". - Code responses shall reference Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. (not Building Code)

1) Review comment #24 indicates a hold for a fire pump permit. The buildings construction type and square footage and available fire flow indicates a fire p[ump is needed (NFPA 1 Chapter 18, Table 18.4.5.2.1). The plans call out a "Fire Riser & Pump Room". I do not see any fire pump information provided.
1. Provide an elevation of the Riser & Pump Room showing the fire pump and fire sprinkler riser layout including all layout of all piping. AND,
2. Obtain and provide a fire pump permit and supporting fire pump specification sheets, manuals, etc.

2) Plans call Dry System Attic with Accelerator (Quick Opening Device). I am not able to locate the accelerator and I do not see a manufacturers specification sheet for one.
Please point out the location of the accelerator(s).

3) The manufacturer spec sheet indicates floor control valve(s) will be installed. I am not able to find the individual floor control valves.
Please point out their location(s). Also, provide an elevation of the control valve in it's operational placement.

4) Provide a manufacturer specification sheets for the wet system riser manifolds, the accelerator (quick opening device), Fire Pump.

5) The Flow Test Data is more than a year old (02/07/2020). 13.23.2.1.1
a) Provide a flow test that is one year or less old.
b) Update the plans to reflect the new flow test data.

6) Provide information on the spare sprinkler heads and any tools to be provided.
a) Include itemized number of each type of head that will be provided in compliance with 13:6.2.9, 13:6.2.9.5(3).
b) Provide a list of the spare sprinklers to be posted on site with the spare sprinkler heads. 13:6.2.9.7

7) Will the wet systems be provided with relief valves as a part of the "test and drain valve" assembly or an auxiliary air reservoir? The spec sheet for the assembly indicates the relief valve is an option. The wet system is required to have either an relief valve or and auxiliary air reservoir. 13:7.1.2

8) Provide an elevation view of the dry pipe valve system including the dry pipe valve, associated piping, drain valve/piping, fill cup, air compressor and connection, etc.
