RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.

To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 6th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.

The numbered items require a response or plans to be updated to complete the review.

 

1) This is a preliminary review. Do not resubmit until approved clearance sheet obtained.

NOTE: Based on fire's site review, additional comments may be provided.

 

2) Mechanical pages include hood and ansul system. Either:

a) remove pages hood/ansul pages OR mark pages that these will be a deferred submittal.

b) provide all documentation including hood and ansul permit applications for reviews to be completed.

 

INFORMATIONAL ONLY NO RESPONSE NECESSARY:
The emergency lights are required to provide 1-footcandle of illumination on the floor along the exit path. This requirement is subject to a performance test conducted prior to the final. Additional Lights may be required. 101:7.9.2
***With my experience, a typical wall pack emergency light usually mounted 8' above the floor covers approx. 8' either direction with a 3' wide path.***

INFORMATIONAL ONLY NO RESPONSE NECESSARY:
At the time of fire final be prepared to provide a copy of the manufacturer specification sheets to the fire inspector showing that each interior finish will meet:

- wall and ceiling finish will meet Class A, B or C. 101:12.3.3.3.

- floor finish shall meet either: a) ASTM D 2859 for carpet and carpet like materials or b) has a minimum critical radiant flux of .1 W/cm2 for non carpet flooring. 101:12.3.3.5.2.

If there are multiple finishes, label each spec sheet identifying each product, its location AND highlight the area showing illustrating it meets the applicable Code requirement.

 

3) Page A100 and Q100 show there will be a CO2 monitoring system. Show how detection system will detect gas near piping and equipment (including drink dispensers) AND initiate a local alarm within the room or area. 1:63.3.1.2.4.4

 

4) Provide manufacturer spec sheets for grease tank showing it meets all requirements from 1:66.19.7.2 and 1:66.19.7.3.

 

5) How will used grease get to the grease tank? If it is piped, show compliance with 1:66.19.7.5.
