Door schedule on page A1.1 under the hardware-set column doors 100 and 101 have "N/A" identified.

Thursday, October 8, 2020 1355 hrs. Spoke with Contractor Les Gallagher regarding doors 100 and 101 locking arrangements. Mr. Gallagher said that he will be putting latching hardware on the doors. I explained the action the door latching hardware is required to operate.

The releasing mechanism of the door latch shall open the door leaf with no more than one (1) releasing operation. NFPA 101:7.2.1.5.10.2

In other words, when the door is locked you should only have to from the egress side of the door grab the handle, turn the handle and push/pull the door to open it. If you have to unlock the door first the latching mechanism is not correct.

The fire inspector will at fire final verify this requirement. Be prepared to show the door hardware specification sheets at the fire final.
