Plans for Building 1 a 14400sf storage building, 1107sf will be conditioned offices, and 13293sf will be unconditioned storage. The building will be protected with fire sprinklers and is constructed as type IIIB (III 200). There are no demising walls or future demising walls indicated on the plans. Plans submitted and reviewed as a storage occupancy.

RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.
To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.
The numbered items require a response or plans to be updated to complete the review.

1) Change the fire code reference in the code summary to the "Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Edition".

2) Emergency light wall packs are indicated on the perimeter walls at around 16' spacing. Provide device specifications that support this. Wall packs cover a maximum of 6' into the room by design unless photometrics are provided and show more coverage. Provide specs for the ceiling mount emergency light fixture indicated and ensure all emergency lights are installed in accordance with the provided specs.

3) Sprinkler Criteria
Sprinkler criteria was provided on 8 1/2"x11" by John Marshall Kennelly PE. The letter printout was electronically signed and sealed which is not valid when printed, the red verbiage on the letter indicates this.
1)Provide criteria with a wet stamp or raised seal.
2) Identify on each letter which building number and building address it is for. Some of the letters have the building number in ink on the top, but it needs to be included on the letter.
3) the warehouse is not climate controlled. How will the pipe be maintained above 40 degrees?
4) Owners Certificate not included.

4) Plans indicate a large storage area or a storage occupancy for which no information has been provided as to the type of materials being stored. Provide information as to the type of materials being stored in this location. Fire Protection requirements vary widely based on the specific type of material being stored and the unique hazards that they represent.
What will be stored? What is the storage layout, will it be high piles storage, rack storage (storage on shelves), floor storage? How will exit aisles be maintained. This info also needs to be passed onto the sprinkler EOR for his design.
Provide a Furniture fixture and equipment plan for the warehouse.

5) The office area is indicated to be climate controlled but no mechanical sheets were included. Provide mechanical sheets and if the air handlers exceed 2000cfm, indicate the required smoke detectors for shutdown on the plans.

6) Hazard of Contents
Identify the hazard of contents in accordance with Section 6.2 of NFPA 101. (Low, Ordinary, High) 42.1.5.

7) Will there be any flammable or combustible liquids or hazardous materials stored? If yes demonstrate compliance with NFPA 1 Chapters 60, 66 and any other applicable chapters based on what is being stored.

8) Provide a door schedule with hardware information on the plans. If there are any special locking arrangements or card access proposed, provide specifics on the hardware and methods for these as well.

9) The approved DRC site plan only shows sidewalk for a portion of the building width in the rear of the building. Around 71' to the rear left of the building does not have a sidewalk of which has 2 marked means of egress that discharge there. Continue the sidewalk to include these 2 doors. NFPA 101:7.1.6, 7.2.1.3.
