Plan submitted for 54 heads NFPA 13 sprinkler system. Reviewed using FFPC 7th edition effective January 1, 2021.

NOTE: no spec sheets provided for flex heads, Sin RA7216

 

1) No sprinkler or site underground permit applicant and plans has been submitted yet. Have underground contractor submit.

 

2) Page received is FP5 (only head layout). Is this the only page? Where is riser elevation? Where is inspectors test? Where is the FDC? No building elevation.

A complete review can not be conducted.

 

3) FP2 shows flex assembly heads will be used. Provide spec sheet for suspended ceiling tile grid showing it meets ASTM C 635.  13:9.2.1.3.3.2

 

4) How will piping in attic be protected against freezing?

 

5) Hydraulic calculations shows attic remote area 1 as being calculated using 1620sq ft . EOR on FP1.1 requires 1500 sq ft with 30% added for sloped roofs with a pitch greater than 1 in. 6." Update calculations.

 

6) Hydraulic calculations for quarantine area 2 indicates area of application is 1638sf. EOR on FP1.1 indicates 1500sf over most remote area for food storage building.

 

RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.

To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.
