RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.

To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.

The numbered items require a response or plans to be updated to complete the review.

2)  FP2 shows flex assembly heads will be used. Provide spec sheet for suspended ceiling tile grid showing it meets ASTM C 635.  13:9.2.1.3.3.2

Monday, October 11, 2021 Response to comments indicates "Included in this resubmittal is the specifications for the suspended ceiling materials that will be used on this project."

3) How will piping in attic be protected against freezing? FP6 does not address this building.

Monday, October 11, 2021 Response to comments indicates "The attics are insulated and the owners are responsible for maintaining a minimum 40degree F in these areas. We have added an additional note on the drawings making this clearer."

4) Page received is FP3 (only head layout). Is this the only page? Is there and FP1 and/or 2? Where is riser elevation? Where is inspectors test? Where is the FDC? No building elevation.

A complete review can not be conducted.

Monday, October 11, 2021 Response to comments dated Sept 9, 2021 indicates "Each drawing shows a reflected ceiling plan on the right side and a piping plan on the left side. Riser sections and building elevations are located on drawing FP-6 and FP-7. The inspectors test are located at the system valve, we have included a cut sheet for this valve. The FDCs are shown on the piping plans, the underground fire site plan and also at the riser sections."

I re assembled all buildings FP pages to make a complete set of plans since not all information included on the single layout page.

5) Hydraulic calculations shows attic remote area 1 as being calculated using 1713sq ft with a roof pitch as 6:12. EOR on FP1.1 requires 1500 sq ft with 30% added for sloped roofs with a pitch greater than 1 in. 6." Update calculations.

Monday, October 11, 2021 Response to comments indicates "The attic hydraulic calculations are based on the attic sprinkler head manufacturer's recommended design criteria. We have added revision notes to the drawing and we have highlighted the Reliable Attic Sprinkler Head submittal data sheets and included them in this resubmittal package."

This response doesn't seem to address the 30% for sloped roofs. I called EOR Lane Hinkle. I spoke with his father Mr. Hinkle. He said the shop drawings have been submitted several times (as recently as Friday) and have yet to meet their design criteria. Submit shop drawings with EOR's stamp saying they are approved or approved with notes (include the notes).

Wednesday, December 1, 2021 Response to comments now indicates "Cox Fire Protection has increased the design area to include the 30% increase."  Also included were several pages from EOR showing that this sprinkler submittal "conform"s.

6) Hydraulic calculations for mega kennel area 2 indicates area of application is 1592sf. EOR on FP1.1 indicates 1500sf over most remote area for food storage building.

Monday, October 11, 2021 This response doesn't seem to address the design. I called EOR Lane Hinkle. I spoke with his father Mr. Hinkle. He said the shop drawings have been submitted several times (as recently as Friday) and have yet to meet their design criteria. Wednesday, December 1, 2021 Response to comments now reads "Area 2 is the offices not the attic, all areas labeled "Area 1" are for the attic sprinklers calculations, all areas labeled "Area 2" are for the office calculations and the area is in accordance with NFPA 13, 2016 edition. FP1.1 has been corrected."    Also included were several pages from EOR showing that this sprinkler submittal "conform"s.
