RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.

To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.

The numbered items require a response or plans to be updated to complete the review.

1) The RM-1 riser manifold specifications indicate that the pressure relieve kit is optional.  If you are using the option, indicate this or demonstrate how NFPA 13:7.1.2 will be met.

2) Criteria sealed by D. Bruce Keeley PE, indicates in section 32.004(2)(D) sub section "C" that allowable K factors are 5.6, 11.2 and 14. The plans submitted indicate a 4.9 K factor for wet system area in the Studios.

Revise calculations accordingly or provide acknowledgement from the EOR for the change in K factor.

Florida Administrative Code (FAC) 61G15-32.002 defines a material deviation as "Any deviation from the design parameters established and documented by the Engineer of Record." Furthermore FAC 61G15-32.003(6) states "When layout documents contain material deviation from the Engineer of Record's Fire Protection System Engineering Document, such layout documents are not compliant unless they are accompanied by revised Engineering Documents made and sealed by the Engineer of record for the Fire Protection System."

3) Verify the square footage that each sprinkler system protects.  I attempted to contact the Architect for a breakdown, but did not hear back. NFPA 13:8.2.1.

4) Specifications provided for General and Victualic dry system compressors and air maintenance devices.   Clarify which one of each you are using.

5) What is the volume of the dry system?    I did not see an indication or specifications for the quick opening device as required by NFPA 13:7.2.3.4.   Provide if applicable.

6) Attic we and attic ridgeline show the system as wet on FP03.  Update this information on the plans and calcs.
