Plans for a 16' CaptiveAire mode 5424 NP-2-BP-F kitchen hood.  Listed Clamped ducts will be utilized sealed with 3M fire barrier 2000 plus.  The plans are NOT APPROVED for the following reasons.

RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.

To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 6th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.

1) What is the wall behind the hood and the cooking equipment constructed of?  Demonstrate compliance with NFPA 96:4.2 or 4.2.3 all the way from the top of the hood to the floor.

3) The exhaust fan does not indicate that it is provided with a hinge, hold open retainer and flexible conduit.  NFPA 96:7.8.2.1, 8.1.2.1.

5)  Provide an elevation view from the hood all the way to the exhaust fan.  Indicate any changes of direction, location of cleanouts, and clearance to combustibles.   If you are utilizing the double wall 0 clearance listed duct, indicate this and provide specs.
