RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. Response to comments / plans / specifications should be submitted to the Permit Center as a resubmission for the original project unless other arrangements are made with the Fire Plan Reviewer or the Fire Plan Review Supervisor.

To help speed the review process you should include a written response to comments summary to clarify and/or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting, or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 7th Ed. for all code reference in a response to comments. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.

The numbered items require a response or plans to be updated to complete the review.

2) I am confused about fire walls separating adjacent spaces. Plan page A-1 shows walls on either side as 1hr separation with a handwritten strike through of 1hr and 2hr written in. Page A-2 shows wall detail for a 1 hour wall. Clearance sheet C2018-007679*006 was to add 1 hour separation walls for this unit. Clarify if the separation walls are remaining 1 hour or are being upgraded to 2 hour.

Response to comments indicates "The 1-hour wall (UL-419) not be upgraded. Refer to drawings sheet A-2 details 2. The building is also fully sprinklered."

3) You need to go back to Non DRC to revise site plan to include outdoor seating at front and vinyl fencing/walkin cooler at the rear.

Thursday, April 29, 2021 Response to comments indicate "The vinyl fencing/walkin cooler at the rear was removed from the project. The outdoor seating removed from project."

6) This was resubmitted as a business. A restaurant with an occupant load less than 50 is a mercantile. See annex 101:3.3.196.9 and 101:6.1.10.1 for clarification.

NOTE:

a)New review of new submittal of business stopped where this does not meet business occupancy.

b) Off hand, a mercantile will allow a 1 hour separation in a sprinklered building IF all control valves on sprinkler are supervised. When I spoke with Mr. Surage on 4 7 21 at 433 via phone, documentation from fire alarm or sprinkler contractor is to be provided which indicates that all sprinkler valves (including backflow) is electronically supervised.

Thursday, May 6, 2021 Plans resubmitted as mercantile. Walls separating tenant spaces are 1 hr. Note says "sprinkler contractor to provide documentation to indicate that all sprinkler control values are supervised per current code."   This documentation needs to be provided now because if the valves are not electronically supervised then a decision needs to be made. I then would need to know if the wall will be 2 hour or the tenant intends to electronically supervise all valves.

Friday, May 14, 2021 Plans resubmitted and still show mercantile with a 2 hour separation to adjacent assembly and 1 hour separation to vacant space.
