RESUBMITTING: Please make necessary changes and resubmit the complete permit application package. We do not accept responses to comments/ plans/ specifications through email. Contact Building department for resubmittals.
To help speed the review process you should include a written comment response summary to clarify or illustrate corrections on plans (bubbling, highlighting or notations are best). Please use the Florida Fire Prevention Code 6th Ed for all code reference in a response to comments. The fire plans examiner does not use the Florida Building Code. You are required to remove old pages and reinsert the new pages.

1) Page A11.1 indicates flooring will be LVT and Carpet. Provide manuafacturer specification sheets showing that each floor finish will meet either: a) ASTM D 2859 for carpet and carpet like materials or b) has a minimum critical radiant flux of .1 W/cm2 for non carpet flooring.NFPA 101 36.3.3.3.
Since there are multiple finishes, please labeled each spec sheet identifying each product, its location AND highlight the area showing illustrating it meets the applicable Code requirement.

INFORMATIONAL ONLY NO RESPONSE NECESSARY:
Locks on exit doors or access exit doors shall not require the use of a key, a tool, or special knowledge or effort for operation from the egress side unless they meet the requirements of NFPA 101, 7.2.1.5.
NOTE: If this occupancy plans on using delayed egress locks, access controlled egress or electrically controlled egress door assemblies then documentation will be required to be submitted with building plans to show compliance with appropriate arrangement.

2) You have indicated a fire alarm will be included in this project on several of the electrical pages. There is not design criteria provided for this system. An ENGINEERED signed and sealed Design Criteria for the fire alarm system over $5000.00 is required to be submitted with the general construction documents. FAC 61G15-32.002(5) We are unable to approve the plan until this information is provided. (The Design Criteria is not a full set of shop drawings.) THIS IS WHAT IS REQUIRED BY FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 61G15-32.008,(A-O) Design of Fire Alarms and Detection Systems.

3) Please provide a complete code analysis for this project. NFPA 1.1.7.11 Please illustrate occupancy type and compliance with the adopted edition of the Florida Fire Prevention Code. Contact an Architect to illustrate Code compliance.
