Plans for a 1080 square foot interior remodel in a building that has a sprinkler and a fire alarm.  Plan reviewed as business.  The plans is rejected for the following reason.

Emergency lights

Provide specifications for proposed emergency lights.  Based on what I have found for the Cooper Apel light (proposed), the lights are listed at 17 foot spacing which is exceeded in the plans.  In addition most devices are listed for 7.5 feet mounting height.   If this is the case will the 8' partition walls obstruct the light.  It appears additional lights will be needed. 

Also ensure that the light reach is sufficient to reach the designated egress path.

Center wall pack removed, replaced with a battery backup light fixture.  Photometrics provided on the plans that provide the average 1 ft/candle, not reduced below .1 foot candle.  PJW Tuesday, August 27, 2019
