1. Steel Building Plans: Received two copies of the steel building plans. Please provide two original signed and sealed steel building plans per SS481.221.

3. Duct Sizing/Manual D:  Please provide a Manual D or other standard based on 503.2.7.5 FBC-Energy Conservation Code.

4. Stucco and Brick Veneer: Please provide an attachment and flashing detail for the stucco and brick veneer shown on S1.0.

5. Electrical Panel Schematic: Detail E-5.1/1 references a service disconnect. Please revise E-1 and add the location of the disconnect. NOTE: The disconnect must be installed back to back from the meter/CT cabinet or an exterior disconnect will be required.

6. Fault Current: Please provide a fault current letter for the transformer that is feeding the building.  The fault current letter is provided by the electrical power company serving the building.

 

7. Welding and Bolting Certification: Please provide a proposal from the engineer or an approved independent testing agency for the inspection of the building steel welded and bolted. Proposal should include: (1)  Visual and  torque inspections procedure (2) Verification of welder’s qualifications, welders preparations, filler material, visual and non-destructive testing.

Bolt Inspection:

a. Visual Inspection: Every connection must be visually inspected to verify that all bolts are properly installed, tightened; and insure that the connection is complete. (fit up and alignment, cyclic snugging up of heavy connections, and turn of nuts relative to bolts after snugging)

b. Torque Inspection: Shall be inspected by applying, in the tightening direction, the inspection wrench and its job inspection torque to 10% of the bolts, but not less than two bolts selected at random in each connection.

Welding Inspection:

Check correct weld procedure(s) employed, check weld procedure and welder qualifications, inspect weld profile preparation, inspect joint fit-up, check filler metals and consumable materials, check correct welding performance parameters observed,  perform visual examination upon completion of welding, monitor pre and post weld heat treatment, where specified, and monitor the physical examination including non-destructive test.
