Comment 1, This comment required that the Engineer provide a signed and sealed Design Criteria for the fire sprinkler system required for this project. In the previous re-submittal the engineer did not provide this document.
In a phone conversation with the engineer today ,10/11/12, we where able to get an advanced copy of the design criteria. This copy will allow us to release the plans with a hold waiting on the raised seal from the engineer on this document.
This comment is being approved with a hold on the permit, no inspections until the sealed document is received and attached to the file.

comment # 2. This comment was regarding the fire alarm for the project, the LS-1 page indicated a fire alarm & smoke alarm system.
In a conversation with the engineer today 10/11/12, it was confirmed that the fire alarm was to monitor the fire sprinkler system only, and that the duct smoke detectors where not required to be part of the fire alarm system.
It was agreed that the value of the fire alarm to monitor the fire sprinkler would not exceed $5000,00 and would not require a sealed engineer design for the fire alarm plans.
A letter is being sent by the engineer that will state this and will be added to the file.
This comment will go way.
