Plan reviewed for the installation of a new Type 1 kitchen hood, exhaust duct and roof mounted kitchen exhaust fan.

The hood is identified as HD-1:

14' x 54" Captiveaire 5424 ND-2-PSP-F. The hood has a 3" internal offset and 1" layer of insulation meeting the requirement for 0" clearance to combustibles.

Backsplash is showing 1' stainless panel extending 18" from both side of hood. Appliances are shown with a 4" standoff from the backsplash with a non combustible wall behind.

16" diameter duct Captiveaire. No smoke bombs are to be used while testing.

Roof layout appears to be flat with approximately 14' from Kitchen exhaust fan and make up air. (sheet A-4)(M1-1)

Upon activation of suppression exhaust fan to come on or remain on, make up air to shut down, shunt trip to shut off electric under hood and shunt fuel for gas valve.

Gas cooking appliances on casters shall have a restraint to prevent damage of gas line. NFPA 54.9.6.1.1

Movable cooking equipment shall be provided with a means to ensure that it is correctly positioned in relation to the appliance discharge nozzle during cooking operations. NFPA 17a 5.6.4

All equipment manuals shall be provided to the owner. NFPA 17A.4.4.2.3

Multiple hoods shall be labeled with corresponding manual activations devices. NFPA 17a 4.4.2.5
