Plan is APPROVED for 58,619 toal sq ft (51,977 sq ft 1st floor, 6642 sq ft second floor) 16 plex movie theatre with 2 retail shells. (These have separate permits.) This was reviewed under 2004 Fl Fire Prevention Code as assembly.
Note: Bldg Dept requires a separate permit for the Type II hood over the popcorn.

The Fire Sprinkler Design Criteria is OK for the building permit, Noted a separate permit will be required for the fire protection systems. A HOLD has been placed on the Building Permit and NO inspection can be done past the slab until this permit is approved. Criteria found on page P-1 for both theatre and retail wings. Riser room for theatre is room 146, located between auditorium 6 & 7 SE backside of bldg. Per FSS 633.539(3) the underground fire main must terminate 1 ft above the finish floor.

The UNDERGROUND CONTRACTOR for the installation & hydro test of the fire sprinkler line will require a separate permit. A HOLD will be placed on the building permit and NO inspection past the slab will be done until this permit is submitted & approved.

The Fire Alarm Design Criteria is OK for the building permit, Noted a separate permit will be required for the fire alarm systems. A 102 HOLD has been placed on the Building Permit and no inspection can be done past the slab until these permits are approved. Criteria found on pages E 3.1, 3.2, 4.1 and 4.2. The FACP is located upstairs (pg E4.1, note 5). Remote annunciator is located in lobby (pg E3.1, note 7). A voice evacuation system is required. (NFPA 101, 12.3.4.3.4)

The occupant load shall be posted in a conspicuous place near the main entrance/exit from the room. Please refer to the Fire Marshal Notation on the plans as to the approved maximum occupant load to be posted. Provide a EMERGENCY ACCESS KEY BOX near the main entrance. This box is required because there is a fire sprinkler riser or fire alarm control panel located inside this building. Air handles with more than 2000 CFM is required to have duct smoke detectors. If these detectors are concealed they shall have a remote visual and audible indicators located in a normally occupied space. (NOTE if there is a FIRE ALARM SYSTEM in the building the duct smoke detector must also be connected to the fire alarm system. In those cases only a visual indicator is required) (NFPA 90A,4.4.2)

The emergency lights are required to provide 1-footcandle of illumination on the floor along the exit path. This requirement is subject to a performance test conducted prior to the final. Additional Lights may be required. (NFPA 101, 7.8.1)

Be advised if any construction or installation work which includes but not limited to private underground mains, fire sprinklers, fire alarms is done without pulling the proper permit from the Fire Marshal's office, a STOP WORK written order shall be issued to the responsible party and no work shall continued until this violation is corrected. (NFPA 1, 1.7.11.3)
