These plans are for a interior build-out for a restaurant with an occupancy under 300 persons. The restaurant is located on the first floor. The building has a complete fire sprinkler and fire alarm system that monitors the sprinkler only.
Based on our review we are rejecting the plans until the following comments are addressed:
1. Please change the Building Code Summary to indicate that the building is equipped with fire sprinklers.
2. Page A-2, the location of the existing fire sprinklers are usually found on the reflective ceiling plans. Please indicate on this page or provide a separate page that located the existing fire sprinkler. On that page you should also indicate that the system will be modified and that a separate fire sprinkler permit will be obtained for the Fire Marshals' Office.
3. Page A3, detail c, for the most part is conceptual and should be included in the mechanical permit for the grease hood. We will refer to the 304 stainless steel wall panel behind the cooking equipment.
4. Page A8, The code NFPA 96 Chapter 4 & FBC Mechanical Section 306, require access and working platforms for grease duct that are on sloping roofs. Please provide details for this issue.
