Plan is APPROVED for 9270 sq ft IBO of 2 story restaurant in a 3 story existing bldg. This bldg is protected by fire sprinkler and fire alarm system. This was reviewed under 2004 Fl Fire Prevention Code as Assembly and Mercantile. The occupant load for second floor is 75. The occupant load for the dining and bar on the first floor is 146. Mercantile load is 13.
On the first floor is 500 sq ft mercantile tied into a restaurant with bar, dining and kitchen on the first floor and a bar with dining on the second floor.

Approval of this plan does not include the roof covering over the 2nd floor bar and dining area.

Also, Fire Rescue was not routed the bridge/stairway plan (#10701504). Using the scanned image, it appears to meet NFPA 101 and will be subject to a Fire Inspection. The travel distance has been met for the second floor regarding the exterior exit.

The Florida Building Code section 105.3.1.2 subsection 3 requires that any new building, alteration, or addition that requires a sprinkler system exceeding 49 sprinkler heads (including relocation, addition or deletion) must be sealed by an Engineer registered under Chapter 471 Florida Statutes. 7/9/2007 SLM
A separate fire sprinkler permit is required by the Fire Marshal. A HOLD will be placed on the building permit and no inspections will be done until this permit is submitted & approved. SCOPE OF WORK LETTER IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. 7/9/2007 SLM

The Grease Exhaust Hood requires a FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM. The Fire Marshal's Office requires a separate FIRE SUPPRESSION PERMIT and a HOLD will be placed on the building permit whereby NO INSPECTIONS can be done until this permit is approved. 7/9/2007 SLM

Please provide building numbers that are a minimum of 6-inches high on the building and/or suite(s) for commercial. These must be visible and legible from the street, therefore the address number may need to be larger than the minimum 6". (NFPA 1, 10.13.1.2) 7/9/2007 SLM
The occupant load shall be posted in a conspicuous place near the main entrance/exit from the room. Please refer to the Fire Marshal Notation on the plans as to the approved maximum occupant load to be posted.
