Plan is for 2 Ansul R-102 fire suppression systems. One system covers a range, oven, and kettle supplied by 1.5 gallons under 1 hood. The other system covers a steamer, griddle, gas char broiler, 2 ranges, and 3 fryers supplied by 9 gallons under 2 hoods. These plans are rejected until the following issues can be clarified.
1) There appears to be a range positioned inbetween the 2 hoods. Cooking equipment must clearly be under the hood. IF this is to be ONE long hood, the end caps must be removed and the hoods shall be welded together and made grease tight. (NFPA 96)
2) An additional fuse link needs to be added under the griddle. (NFPA 17A)
3) There must be at least 16 inch space between the fryer and surface flames of the range or an 8 inch high steel or tempered glass baffle installed between fryer and range. (NFPA 96)
4) The detection line to hood 3 goes to the left and the pipe to hood 3 goes to the right. Please clarify.
