This review is for a 15,720 square foot building. The building has a fire sprinkler system. The occupancy has an element of church and a second element that appears to be educational with class from kindergarten through senior high.

Based on the confusion within the plans for the occupancy we are unable to complete the review. The plans are rejected.

1. Please have labeling of all the room match throughout the plans.

2. Clearly identify the use of the building. Is there a true educational element in this building.

3. On the life safety plans please provide:

- Identify for posting the occupant load for each room using NFPA 101, table 7.3.1.2

- After evaluation of total occupant load, reevaluate the egress width to match required exits. Remember 50% of the people need to exit out the main exit and the remaining out all others. please show this on the plans.

- Identify the travel distance for all of the require exits. 

- As stated by the building department identify the corridor as a rated corridor.

- Change note 2 of Life Safety Design Features as a fire alarm will be required. NFPA 101,12.3.4 

- The emergency lights shown on the plans may not meet the requirements of NFPA 101,5.9.2.1, of 1 foot candle of illumination along the exit path as measured on the floor. Please re-visit this item.

4. Interior Finish Page A19&20, Please provide documentation that demonstrates that the materials placed on the walls are Class A or B as required by NFPA 101,12.3.3

5. Page A-19 the cooking stove needs to be protected in accordance with NFPA 101,9.2.3 or remove the stove top and keep the oven.

6. The mechanical plan may need to be modified if ducts pass through the rated corridor.

7. Page FA1.1, The fire alarm primary power circuit need to be red in color, identified as "FIRE ALARM CIRCUIT", accessible to authorized personnel only (or provide with breaker locks) NFPA 72.
