These plans are a resubmittal.  The previous comments have been addressed.  The building is being retrofitted with fire sprinklers in order to allow the spiral stair case, in accordance with NFPA 101 38.2.4.4(5).  The design criteria for this project has been submitted and approved.

The sprinkler information submitted is conceptual, a seperate permit is required through our office.  A hold will be placed on the building permit and no inspections will be performed prior to this being submitted and approved. Note: The hydraulic calcs submitted are not required at this stage and were not reviewed.  They were left with the package, please resubmit these with the sprinkler plans.

Per the contact the ceiling height specified in NFPA 101 7.1.5 will be met.  We will verify during the final inspection.

Per the owner piped med gas will not be used.  Portable tanks will be utilized.

Please provide building numbers that are a minimum of 6-inches high on the building and/or suite(s) for commercial. These must be visible and legible from the street, therefore the address number may need to be larger than the minimum 6". NFPA 1, 10.13.1.2 1/24/2007 PJW
Provide a EMERGENCY ACCESS KEY BOX near the main entrance. This box is required because there is a fire sprinkler riser located inside this building. The emergency lights are required to provide 1-footcandle of illumination on the floor along the exit path. This requirement is subject to a performance test conducted prior to the final. Additional Lights may be required. 1/24/2007 PJW
The elevation of the floor surface on both sides of a door shall not vary by more than a 1/2 inch, and shall be maintained on both sides of the door for a distance not less than the width of the widest leaf. NFPA 101 7.2.1.3. 1/24/2007 PJW
