Your project area is located within a building that contains a fire alarm system, a sprinkler system, or both. Prior to final approval of your permit, you must ensure that the applicable systems are tagged current and that there are no outstanding violations to the systems. The inspector will verfiy this prior to approval. (NFPA 101, 4.6.10.1)

INFORMATIONAL ONLY NO RESPONSE NECESSARY:
Locks on exit doors or access exit doors shall not require the use of a key, a tool, or special knowledge or effort for operation from the egress side unless they meet the requirements of NFPA 101, 7.2.1.5.
NOTE: If this occupancy plans on using delayed egress locks, access controlled egress or electrically controlled egress door assemblies then documentation will be required to be submitted with building plans to show compliance with appropriate arrangement.

INFORMATIONAL ONLY NO RESPONSE NECESSARY:
Air handlers with more than 2000 CFM are required to have duct smoke detectors. If these detectors are concealed they shall have a remote visual and audible indicators located in a normally occupied space. (NOTE if there is a FIRE ALARM SYSTEM in the building the duct smoke detector must also be connected to the fire alarm system. In those cases only a visual indicator is required) (NFPA 90A,6.4.2)

NFPA 101,chapter 7 and NEC 2011 edition, section 700.12(F) Unit Equipment:
The branch circuit feeding the emergency lights shall be the same branch circuit as that serving the normal lighting in the area and connected ahead of any local switches. The branch circuit that feeds emergency lights shall be clearly identified at the distribution panel.

The emergency lights are required to provide 1-footcandle of illumination on the floor along the exit path. This requirement is subject to a performance test conducted prior to the final. Additional Lights may be required. (NFPA 101, 7.8.1)
***With my experience, a typical wall pack emergency light usually mounted 8' above the floor covers approx. 8' either direction with a 3' wide path.***

FS 633.061 requires a license or permit of organizations & individuals who: service, recharge, test, mark, inspect, install or hydrotest fire extinguishers. It will be necessary to use a Licensed Fire Extinguisher Contractor for identifying the location & type of extinguisher to use.
