Plan APPROVED for 8 foot kitchen exhaust hood. This is reviewed under 2010 Fl Fire Prevention Code.
A separate permit is required for the fire suppression system.

For a point of information to the General Contractor, The Fire Marshals' Office requires that a fire inspector witness a light test of the duct from the hood through the roof before the duct is raised into the ceiling. Pass this on to your mechanical contractor for the hood.

Consult with your fire extinguisher contractor for this special portable fire extinguisher requirement, pay special attention to the following requirement:
- mounted with in 30' travel distance of all cooking areas
- placards shall be conspicuously placed near the extinguiher that states, "FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM SHALL BE ACTIVATED PRIOR TO USING FIRE EXTINGUISHER. (NFPA 1, 13.6.5.3.2)
