Plan PENDING for 900 sqft doctor office. This is reviewed under 2007 Fl Fire Prevention Code.

There are 5 treatment rooms with this doctor's office. It is unclear if this occupancy meets Ambulatory Health Care definition:
A bldg or portion thereof used to provide services or treatment simultaneously to 4 or more patients (pts) that provides, on an outpatient basis, one or more of the following:
1. Treatment for pts that renders the pts incapable of taking action for self-preservation under emergency conditions without the assistance of others
2. Anesthesia that renders the pts incapable of taking action for self-preservation under emergency conditions without the assistance of others
3. Emergency or urgent care for pts who, due to the nature of their injury or illness, are incapable of taking action for self-preservation under emergency conditions without the assistance of others

If this is not the case, please provide a letter from the owner of the doctor's office stating the above will not occur.

If this is an ambulatory health care, per NFPA 101, 20.3.4 requires a fire alarm.
An ENGINEERED sealed Design Criteria for the fire alarm system over $5000.00 is required for the building permit. (FBC 105.3.1.2(5) We are unable to approve the plan until this information is provided. (The Design Criteria is not a full set of shop drawing.) THIS IS WHAT IS REQUIRED BY FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 61G15-32.008,(a-o) Common Requirements to All Fire Protection Engineering Documents.
