1. Sheet Code Compliance Sheet TS A1.02 refers to the design of the windloads to be to 2000 Edition of the International Building Code. 2. The plans can not meet the necessary requirement for a type IV construction FBC 2001. (wood trusses) This review has been done assuming the structure can be designed to a type V protected and sprinkled. 7. This is a Threshold Building. EVERY Structural page of the plans must contain a statement by the Designer of Record indicating (to the best of the architects' or engineers' knowledge, the plans and specifications comply with the applicable minimum building codes and the applicant fire safety standards as determined by the local authority in accordance with this section and 633 Florida Statues.) 9. Openings within 10 ft horizontal extension of the protected walls beyond the stairway shall be equipped with fixed 3/4 hour assembles. 10. Please clarify all drawings to indicate that the stairways lead directly to the street or open space as per Section 1006.2.4 FBC 2001 Some plans indicate what may be a rail between elevator and stairs area on the first floor. Some indicate that there is no rail on the upper floor. The Life Safety plan indicates that exit is through the Elevator lobby area, if this is your intent please review Section 1010.3 FBC 2001. 5/9/2005 WJD
11. Submit all fire resistant materials construction assemblies of constructions as listed in 709.7 or acceptable publications. 701.5.2 FBC 2001. Not limited to the following: Submit RC 2601 as cannot find current acceptance to GA#2601 which as shown is for 2 x 10 joist not prefab trusses; Submit all for Rinker Block. Reference to change of name to lobby on Sheet A5.05, however I don't see this. 21. Truss index sheet shall be sealed and signed by specified Delegated Engineer (Truss designer) Edmond R Stanton. Also this sheet shall reference St. Johns County not Flagler County, any handwritten changes shall be initialed by the Designer. 05-09-05wjd Item not addressed. 07-18-05wjd As required by the Board of Engineers a letter or other document must be submitted indicating the Engineer of Record has reviewed the truss submittal package. The truss layout {truss placement plan} shall be reviewed, approved and signed by the building designer stating essentially the following: “The building designer has reviewed the truss drawings and truss placement plan(s) and said drawings and plans meet with his/her design.” The newly submitted truss layout and index data sheets are not approved by the EOR. 2/2/2006 WJD
