These plans are a resubmittal of a 58261 square foot Class "A" Mercantile.  The plans are APPROVED as submitted with comments below.

As stated in the previous review it still does not appear that the provided exit signage will be sufficient to meet the requirements of NFPA 101:36.2.10, 7.10.1.5.1, and 7.10.1.5.2. It is difficult to specify required locations by looking at a 2 dimensional floor plan.  

The placement of the signs is subject to the final fire inspection.  The inspector may require additional lights at that time.  If any light are added prior to final, will require a revision to the approved plan.

Any modification to the fire sprinkler system requires a seperate permit from our office.  A hold has been placed on the building permit until this is submitted and approved.  If the modification exceeds 49 heads as stated below, the plans must be sealed by a Florida Engineer. 

The Florida Building Code section 105.3.1.2 subsection 3 requires that any new building, alteration, or addition that requires a sprinkler system exceeding 49 sprinkler heads (including relocation, addition or deletion) must be sealed by an Engineer registered under Chapter 471 Florida Statutes.

Please provide building numbers that are a minimum of 6-inches high on the building and/or suite(s) for commercial. These must be visible and legible from the street, therefore the address number may need to be larger than the minimum 6". (NFPA 1, 10.13.1.2) 6/21/2007 PJW
Air handles with more than 2000 CFM is required to have duct smoke detectors. If these detectors are concealed they shall have a remote visual and audible indicators located in a normally occupied space. (NOTE if there is a FIRE ALARM SYSTEM in the building the duct smoke detector must also be connected to the fire alarm system. The emergency lights are required to provide 1-footcandle of illumination on the floor along the exit path. This requirement is subject to a performance test conducted prior to the final. Additional Lights may be required. (NFPA 101, 7.8.1) 6/21/2007 PJW
The elevation of the floor surface on both sides of a door shall not vary by more than a 1/2 inch, and shall be maintained on both sides of the door for a distance not less than the width of the widest leaf. (NFPA 101 7.2.1.3) 6/21/2007 PJW
