Plan APPROVED for interior renovation of 2500 sqft suite inside an existing outside mall protected with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems. This is reviewed under 2010 Fl Fire Prevention Code as mercantile.

The scope of work for this project is in the area of an existing fire sprinkler and fire alarm system. A separate fire sprinkler and fire alarm permit is required for any modification to this system. A hold is placed on the Building Permit and no inspections will be done until this Fire Sprinkler and fire alarm Permit is submitted & approved. (NFPA 1,13.1.1.1)
Check concealed space in middle of store where bump out is located to see if coverage is required. NFPA 13, 8.15.

Locks on exit doors or access exit doors shall not require the use of a key, a tool, or special knowlege or effort for operation from the egress side unless they meet the requirements of NFPA 101, 7.2.1.5.

FS 633.061 requires a license or permit of organizations & individuals who: service, recharge, test, mark, inspect, install or hydrotest fire extinguishers. It will be necessary to use a Licensed Fire Extinguisher Contractor for identifying the location & type of extinguisher to use.
